Tad Davis Imperial is still a much sought after vintage mix of fine hardwood construction.
This racket dates to 1962, during the manufacturing period of 1960-1966, when this model racket was being made — The “Imperial.”
Like all vintage wood tennis rackets, they should be restrung every 5 years or so. Gut sinew is the stringing used for this tennis racket.
So you’ll need to restring to bring this racket up to speed like it’s 1962 again.
